Access to As Catedrais Beach is free of charge, but during certain times of the year, a permit is required to help regulate visitor numbers and preserve this natural site.

Peak Season

During Easter Week and from July 1st to September 30th, you must obtain a free administrative permit.

Low Season

No permit is needed for access during the rest of the year.

You can choose from several options to obtain your access permit for As Catedrais Beach:

Online Reservation

You can get your permit through the official website of the Xunta de Galicia.

If You're Staying in Ribadeo

Guests staying in Ribadeo can request a permit directly from their accommodation, allowing them to access the beach without making an online reservation.

With the “Bus Praia” Shuttle Service

A shuttle bus runs from the Ribadeo Tourist Office to the beach. If you travel with this service, your beach access is guaranteed. Note: The color of your outbound ticket must match the return time.

If You Arrive by Taxi

Visitors arriving by taxi can use their payment receipt as a valid access permit to the beach.

¿Is the Access Restriction Total?

The access restriction applies exclusively to going down to the sand.
It is important to note that access must take place during low tide, as the beach is completely covered by water at high tide and becomes inaccessible.

¿Who Manages Access Regulation to the Beach?

The access system for As Catedrais Beach is managed by the Xunta de Galicia.
The Ribadeo Town Council does not have authority over access regulation and cannot resolve any issues or complications during the permit process.
